Working on Bra Challenge Dolls

Well, I am very excited with the progress I am making on the dolls for the Bra Challenge. I also got an email from a group in San Diego that wants participants in this challenge to submit their dolls for an Quilt and Art Doll show in September. I think it would be really cool to do that, so I fell I might.

In fact, I think it may be a cool reason for a road trip so that I can actually see one of my dolls at the show. I have a few months to save for the trip.

I will publish some pictures soon on the various stages of the doll making. As soon as I figure out how to do that exactly???

Getting Started

Wow, I think I may have finally created my own blog - thanks to my son Shawn! Due to a recent lay off, from an industry that I worked in for almost 30 years, I have been able to do some real soul searching.

I have also, over the years, been working with the gang over at Intuitive Development - check out their website at http://www.intuitivedevelopment.org/ - and learning to embrace my truth.

During this soul searching I came across journals from several, several years ago and in them I talked about wanting to do art and wanting to make dolls. One of the things that Lynn (Intuitive Development), does is to guide us to think about what we loved to do when we were kids. This is where you can discover your bliss! Well, I loved dolls, making dolls, making clothes for dolls, you get the picture - so it all just seemed to click!

I am working through the fear of trying something new, but I am even more excited! Stay tuned.
